Rahul founded CLE Trust in 2019 with the mission of conducting quality education programs for children and youth from marginalized communities, with a focus on creative learning methods. For him, CLE is also an experiment in building a democratic organization.
He is also a founder of IGSA Labs, a private limited company that develops mathematical modeling solutions for supply chain optimization and lifecycle carbon emission mitigation.
He is a visiting professor with Indian Institutes of Management at Lucknow and Udaipur.
His interests are in the areas of education, analytical models, OR, statistics, AI/ML, supply chain management, operations strategy, circular economy, and sustainable development.
Pushpa is a computer science engineer by training who moved from writing software codes to people’s stories.
Currently she is Associate Director with Solidarity Foundation (www.solidarityfoundation.in), an organisation dedicated to supporting transgender communities.
Photography pleases her while verse inspires her.
Adithya is a member of the founding team of CLE Trust. He is a sub-editor of Rajadhari TV in Karnataka. As a social activist and journalist, he works with drivers, domestic workers, slum dwellers, and youth in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka.
He is also the founder of Chethanadhare Trust, Bruhath Bengaluru Drivers Union, Swabhimani Mahila Sangha, and Karnataka Prajaranga.
He has received an award from Karnataka state government for his novels in Kannada, such as Kappu Hakkiya Hadu and Belaku.
Shanthakumar is an IIM Ahmedabad Alumnus. He is the founder and COO of Incredible jobs Pvt Ltd, a recruitment firm helping organizations manage resources for setting up and scaling up.
Bhama Sridharan holds a Masters’ degree from McGill University, Canada and an MTech degree in Computer Science from IISc Bangalore, and also a master’s degree in education from IGNOU. She has worked for various reputed software organizations for sixteen years before pursuing her passion for teaching pure sciences. She was a faculty of the Anubhava Science Foundation, which has conducted many experiential science courses for Government schoolteachers. She is a board member of Dream School Foundation, a non-profit working with government schools in an effort to increase the learning outcomes of under-privileged children. She is also actively involved with Project ECHO, a not-for-profit working towards building capacities across areas like healthcare and education and has conducted online courses in mathematics and science for teachers across India to integrate effective learning and develop a love for the subject. She is also a trustee at CLE, and is a part of their Teacher Empowerment Programs and online educational programs.
Ramesh Sundaresan is an engineer from NIT, Trichy and MBA from IIM Lucknow. At Olam, a Singapore based USD 40b company, he founded and was the CEO of the Financial Services business, Invenio. From 2017, after leaving Olam, Ramesh has taught Finance at premier management institutes like IIMs and Singapore Management University; and consults organizations on trading and risk management. His passion is compassionate pedagogy and happy classrooms – he teaches middle school Math, and has been training many teachers across the country on how to teach math in a creative and engaging way. Ramesh is a faculty at YogaKshema. He is a board member at Vanavil trust that works with nomadic children. He is a trustee at Center for Learning and Empowerment. He is also an investor in many start-ups.
Thenmozhi Arunan - I strongly believe that Education can empower children to a better life. I have been working with the NGOs for 5 years, associated with CLE Trust since 2020. I volunteer to teach Mathematics, Digital, Financial Literacy for students. I was raised in a family that was committed social equality and social development. I grew up in Chennai, TN, completed B.E in Computer Science from College of Engineering, Guindy and M.S in Computer Science from Kansas State University, USA and living in Bangalore since 1997. I have worked in Software Industry for 17+ years.
Senthil brings over 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, where he built a strong foundation in technology, systems thinking, and problem-solving. Motivated by a deep interest in education and social impact, he made a significant career shift over a decade ago to work in the field of education.
Over the past 10 years, Senthil has worked closely with children and educators, including 5 transformative years at a Waldorf school, where he embraced a holistic, child-centric approach to teaching and learning. His time there strengthened his belief in nurturing creativity, emotional well-being, and critical thinking in children.
Currently, Senthil is part of a rural school in Tiruvannamalai, where he is committed to making education meaningful and accessible for children from underserved communities. He continues to explore innovative, inclusive, and context-driven methods to enrich the learning experience.
Leadership
Imtiaz works with a software company, GreeneStep as Sales Development Manager. He is a commerce graduate and MBA by professional training.
At CLE, Imtiaz is in charge of communicating and distributing payments. His duties also include organizing trust records, database management, overseeing department budgets and maintaining inventory of office supplies.
Imtiaz loves traveling and playing cricket. Making friends and helping others come naturally to him. He has been supporting the education of underprivileged children in his locality.
Leela is a post graduate in Microbiology with over 10 years of industrial experience in Biotechnology Research and Molecular diagnostics.
Leela has played a significant role in shaping and advancing the educational initiatives at CLE Trust since its inception. As one of the pioneering minds at CLE Trust, Leela has emerged as a key figure, steering the organization towards excellence, shaping the organization's core.
Her responsibilities span from developing organizational processes to strategic design, seamless program implementation, volunteer and stakeholder management, external communications, fundraising initiatives, to adeptly navigating the realms of social media outreach.
Manager- Programs
Shalini Nair is an accomplished professional with expertise in Education and Sustainability. Her core interests include capacity building, training, and research in the areas of education, conservation, and social impact. She has led and executed a few impactful programs, like Financial Literacy workshops and higher education program for students from disadvantaged communities. Shalini has delivered measurable outcomes in both formal and informal education sectors.
At CLE, she leads a range of initiatives, including online education programs in partnership with like-minded organizations, and youth empowerment projects that strive to create gender inclusive platforms. Her work focuses on creating safe learning environments and supporting students in breaking the cycle of poverty through access to higher education.
Shalini is a firm believer in the power of collaboration and the potential of education to drive meaningful change. An avid traveller, she values diverse perspectives and is deeply committed to fostering positive social transformation.
Kavitha is an Electronics and Communication Engineer, a teacher, and Director at Incredible Jobs, a placement service company. She leads CLE’s student and teacher programs across Tamil Nadu, working closely with government schools and departments.
She also manages a learning center in Tirusulam, Chennai, supporting children from underprivileged backgrounds as part of a CSR project. Kavitha teaches in CLE programs and is deeply committed to providing quality education to children from disadvantaged communities.
Sangita Sutar holds an MBA in Marketing and has also pursued an LLB out of personal iterest. After gaining meaningful experience in the corporate sector, she transitioned into the development space, driven by a strong commitment to creating social impact.
At CLE, Sangita plays a pivotal role in strengthening internal systems, driving fundraising initiatives, and enhancing the organization’s digital presence. She actively contributes to strategic planning, program coordination, and volunteer and stakeholder engagement. Her efforts in outreach and resource mobilization continue to support CLE’s vision and long-term sustainability.
Abhishek is an avid learner with a mocktail of competencies. An educator, researcher, and volunteer committed to exploring how education can lead to a meaningful and compassionate life.
Transitioning from technical to social field; his academic background spans institutions like NIT, IIT, Aalto University, and Azim Premji University.
He works with children in challenging environments, focusing on education as a means to nurture the competence needed for a happy and purposeful life.
Tinkering with new ideas, learning in the process and disseminating it is his way. He is in a continuous pursuit to plant love amidst the cracks in society and self.
