Curriculum Design at CLE Trust
The Curriculum Design initiative at CLE began in 2023 with a dedicated team of experts who bring not only strong subject knowledge but also a deep understanding of pedagogy—especially activity-based learning methods. At CLE, we strongly believe in and consistently practice activity-based pedagogy that fosters critical thinking, curiosity, and questioning skills among students. The natural outcome of this process is joyful, meaningful learning.
We started by developing a Mathematics curriculum for the primary level and have now expanded up to the middle school level. Our curriculum covers key concepts such as number sense, arithmetic operations, fractions, and more. Each activity is carefully curated to ensure it is child-centric, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.
Following this, in late 2023, we began designing our own English curriculum. This curriculum is a blend of games, storytelling, movement-based activities, singing, dancing, worksheets, and interactive tasks, all aimed at making language learning a dynamic experience.
Our Science curriculum is currently in its early stages. We aim to develop it up to the high school level within this year, ensuring the same experiential and activity-based approach.
All content developed by our Curriculum Design Team is actively used across CLE’s programs. It is also open-source and freely accessible to anyone interested in using or adapting it. CLE teachers use these materials in their daily classes, and they are also integrated into our Teacher Empowerment Programs as part of training resources.
Our Vision Ahead
Going forward, we plan to:
Incorporate more feedback from teachers, mentors, and subject experts.
Add new activities and improve existing ones.
Simplify content to make it even more accessible and effective.
Extend our curriculum up to the high school level across all subjects.
At CLE, our goal is to nurture curious, confident, and capable learners by building an education experience that is both rooted in joy and rich in learning.
